Hello, makeup lovers! I hope you do enjoy your winter holidays because this December is more festive than ever! Let’s talk about beauty today. Beauty in general, not the usual trends that come and go; but what does beauty means for us.
Last 15 months I’ve been so busy working, and I like to think that this is the reason why I don’t post that much on my blog. Or is just the way I see it. But let’s be honest, it’s all about #priorities! Either way, the truth is that I’ve been traveling A LOT. As a makeup trainer for Anastasia Beverly Hills, I have to be always on the road from one city to another – sometimes I even have two cities in one day! This is how I had the chance to visit the South and West of France, Bretagne, Rhônes Alpes and not only. I am traveling mostly by car, train or by plane. This made me develop myself so much, learn better how to get #creative, organize myself better, where to find inspiration and, most important, what to want. My aunt told me that it’s not enough to want. But to know HOW to want. ( I told you, guys, this is not going to be a classic “How to do” talk *giggles).
So, every thought or creative idea I try to immediately save it on a notebook, bookmark it and realize it as soon as possible. The makeup that I am sharing with you in this article is the recreation of what I wished I could see. Simple as that. I am working very fast and easy with Bianca, as I am always saying, she’s an amazing chameleon – literally. She can transform herself from one photo session to another. See more of our past work here and here.
So, don’t be afraid to #visualize and create your dream picture. When I don’t have enough time to organize a proper shooting with models, I am doing makeup on myself. For me it’s like going to spa! Staying at my makeup desk, drawing and playing with makeup – and my new ring light!! – it’s so relaxing. As Martha Beck says, “although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, the feeling of being beautiful exists solely in the mind of the beheld.”
