Dark circles can make you look tired and older than in reality. It’s time to dedicate yourself a few minutes per day and get rid of them! What can you do? Check the complete guide below:
- Apply with your finger a few dots of primer on the orbital bone. It will help the concealer to set up and to keep it in place for a long time.
Using primer before applying makeup can be very good for the entire face. Primer fills your pores without causing blackheads, keeps your skin hydrated, protects against UV rays, it makes the skin texture incredibly delicate and smooth skin, reduces redness and inflammation, increases considerably the resistance of the makeup (especially in the summer), it also helps the concealer and foundation to stretch better, etc. I’ll talk more about the benefits of the primer and will give examples of the best products in another article. Stay tuned!
2. Concealer is an indispensable product in ladies’ makeup bag.
Whether you want to hide a pimple that bothers you or to mask dark circles after a white night. Cream concealer should be chosen carefully; because when it’s applied on the face it must hide certain skin problems and look as natural as possible, close to your skin color (it is recommended a concealer even a little lighter than skin tone, but in the same tone).
Apply by tapping (I recommend a beauty blender or a brush) small amounts of cream concealer on the problem areas. Uniform gently because it’s application doesn’t have to be visible.

Adopt a healthy, balanced diet and drink plenty of water daily, take vitamins, and antioxidants. Quit smoking and coffee. Reduce salt intake. Salt abuse produces water retention in the tissues, poor circulation and appearance of blue veins under the skin. It’s true when they say that everything you eat is reflected on the skin.

Facial massage can help a lot to diminish dark circles and even make them disappear. It should be realized daily with fine circular movements under eyes using cream or sweet almond oil (not to be confused with bitter almond oil which contains amygdalin and is not beneficial for the facial skin).
Then apply something cold for two minutes to increase blood circulation (cold water, slices of cucumber or potato from the fridge).
Cold compresses with tea. Make yourself a green or black tea, take the tea bags, cool them first and let them drain a little then close your eyes and apply the tea bags on eyelids for 15 minutes.
Compresses with rose water. Soak two pads in rose water and leave them on your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times a day and in a few weeks you should see results. Rose water has a moisturizing and toning effect for the skin.
Milk compresses. Milk is an essential ingredient for beautiful refreshed eyes. Apply cold milk compresses every night for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizer. Dark circles and puffiness will be reduced in a few days.
Mentioned above, sweet almond oil is rich in fat acids, vitamins (A, B1, B6, E), minerals and proteins. This oil made from almond is known for the miraculous effects in removing dark circles.
Apply oil every morning on clean skin, either with your fingertips or with a cotton pad and spread it with circular movements. Unlike olive oil, sweet almond oil is completely absorbed by the skin and has a pleasant smell. Recommended for all skin types, even for the oily ones. Applying this oil should be repeated for several days until you notice a reduction of dark circles. Even if the action time is longer, think about long-term results!
A rested look rejuvenates your face and makes you irresistible. Makeup can be powerful, it can do miracles but it doesn’t last much. So try to solve the problem of dark eye circles in a natural healthy way.
Celebrities look their best on the red carpet, but on a daily base they actually look normal and have skin problems, such as puffy eyes or dark circles. Don’t be too harsh with yourself, be the best version of you!
